| Kee Walk, a slip-resistant walkway for workers ![]() Kee Walk systems are assembled using lightweight aluminum bearer bars and high-grade nylon treads that feature a raised, rough surface for enhanced slip resistance in adverse weather conditions with open treads for fast drainage of water. The treads are designed to meet and exceed the EN 516 standard for Prefabricated Accessories for Roofing. Both the bearer bars and treads are recyclable, according to Kee Safety. Pre-assembled step configurations in 3-1/2-ft., 4-1/2-ft., 5-ft. and 10-ft. lengths require only slight on-site positioning and alignment, Kee Safety states. The standard steps are joined together with a 4-inch straight connector which attaches to the bearing bars. No bespoke parts are used, and fixings do not damage the roof surface. The walkways/traverse configurations and free-standing modules are available in 5-ft. and 10-ft. lengths. The new Kee Walk system needs only a minimal number of brackets to install a complete system. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
