| Jacobs wins contract from Los Angeles World Airports California, US-based engineering giant Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it received an award from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to provide on-call professional construction support services for various airport and capital improvement projects at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY). The contract has a maximum value of $25 million. LAWA's staff currently manages, programs, plans, designs and supervises the construction of a variety of projects at LAX, LA/ONT and VNY. However, due to the number of construction projects currently handled by LAWA's engineering and capital development staff, as well as the complexity of upcoming projects, LAWA has decided to use the services of qualified consultants to assist with managing the construction of various projects at their airports. Assignments will be executed on a cost plus fixed fee task order basis.
