| Decoustics' three new products fortified with key green attributes ![]() Quadrillo G, Solo M and Solo MG panels and planks are manufactured using no added formaldehyde and formaldehyde-free materials. They contain 60 to 80 percent recycled content and utilize wood that is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests (SW-COC-004048). Using state-of-the-art design and manufacturing technologies, the panels are engineered to exact dimensions, minimizing job site waste and eliminating the need for on-site cutting. Panels are custom prefinished and do not require site-applied adhesives or solvents that can compromise indoor air quality. In addition, the panels are packaged in wooden crates that can be reused and recycled. Once installed, the panels withstand many years of service, an important factor in product life cycle assessments. "These products are seldom discarded in landfills since they can easily be refinished and reused in different applications," adds Bishun. "The overall longevity of the planks and panels is a testament to their outstanding quality and performance." Quadrillo G panels feature a natural wood veneer finish that is ideal for both ceiling and wall applications in standard or highly customized curved shapes. Combining Decoustics' unique patented perforation technology with a high-performance acoustical core, Quadrillo G panels offer superior acoustical performance. Solo G planks consist of a natural wood veneered medium density fiberboard (MDF), which is grooved on the face and perforated from behind. The panels feature an acoustical wood veneer finish and have an acoustically transparent black mat laminated to the back. Solo MG is a modified version of the standard Solo G product, produced as a panel rather than a plank and has the same construction, acoustic performance and fire rating as SoloG. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
