| Acciona Energy will invest 85m euro in windpark in Canada  Acciona will move forward with construction work on its 45 MW capacity windpark in Lamèque (New Brunswick, Canada). The facility, 100% owned by the company, consists of thirty 1.5 MW turbines using Acciona Windpower technology, and will be operational in early 2011.The project will represent an investment of 115 million Canadian dollars (85.2 million euros at the current exchange rate).Acciona will sell the power produced by the windpark to the utility New Brunswick Power under a 25-year contract. The site is located on the island of Lamèque (Arcadia peninsula) in the NE of the province, on the Atlantic coast of Canada. Representatives of the Government of New Brunswick and other entities in the province have expressed their satisfaction with the forward movement of the project. Acciona Energy already has three windparks in Canada totaling 136 MW with local partners Suncor and Enbridge.
