FAAC's four new products of its range of gate automated systems

FAAC recently presented four new products that further expand its line. Three of these new products are intended mainly for residential gate applications and are elegantly designed. The fourth new product, the S700H underground hydraulic operator, is intended for large, heavy swing-leaf gates, and is based on a hybrid (hydraulic-electric) technology. All of these new products by FAAC are designed to facilitate the creation of installations that conform to current standards.

The new C720 gearmotor is a 24V automated system for sliding residential gates. It has a simple, clean design, and operates with a new, mobile-axis reduction method (FAAC international patent) that achieves mechanical efficiency of over 80% (50% higher than normal gearmotors). This innovation also increases reliability by dividing the load over many tooth pairs, and greatly reduces noise and vibrations.

The new S418 electro-mechanical operator, also 24V, is intended for swing-leaf gates with leaf up to 2.3 metres (2.7 metres with electric lock). It offers very easy mechanical installation: thanks to its long stroke (up to 390 mm without mechanical stops) and to multi-position adjustable brackets (which attach without welding), the system easily adapts to most installation requirements.

Intended mainly for residential and condominium applications, the new S450H hydraulic operator can be installed on swing-leaf gates with leaf up to 3 metres (SB) or 2 metres (CBAC). Based on a hybrid (hydraulic-electric) technology, it has an integrated encoder with anti-crushing function and reversal on obstacle. It has a useful stroke of 311 mm and features the new multi-position bracket that requires no welding. Mechanical opening and closing stops are supplied as standard.

The new S700H underground hydraulic operator is intended for swing-leaf gates with length up to 4 metres and weight up to 800 kilos. The system uses a new solution (called Hybrid) that combines the best aspects of hydraulic technology and low-voltage operation. The hydraulic part ensures high power and reliability, while the 24V power supply facilitates safe installation (anti-crushing) in conformity with European standards. The operator is equipped with the exclusive FAAC 2Easy system to connect photocells via bus, and with Omnidec, the universal decoder that operates with any FAAC transmitter.
