| Saint-Gobain announces new appointments The board of directors of French construction materials and building products firm Saint-Gobain appointed Pierre-André de Chalendar Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Companie de Saint-Gobain. The board of directors has also appointed Jean-Louis Beffa Honorary Chairman of the Compagnie de Saint-Gobain. Born in April 1958, Mr. de Chalendar is a graduate of the ESSEC Business School and of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA), as well as a former senior civil servant (Inspecteur des Finances).
