Aecom wins design-build subcontract for ring road in Canada

Aecom Technology Corp (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that a joint venture for which it is subcontracted as the lead designer has been awarded a design-build contract for the Circle Drive South project in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Circle Drive South - the largest single construction effort in the city's history and the province's first alternative-delivery design-build transportation contract - has a total project value of approximately US$277 million. AECOM's fees for the subcontract were not disclosed.

Aecom professionals will provide design services for this major ring road, which includes a new south bridge that will cross the South Saskatchewan River, 4.3 miles of four- to six-lane divided freeway, four roadway interchanges and four railway grade separations. Aecom will also provide railway, stormwater, environmental site-remediation and sound-attenuation services.
