| Quay West Atrium wins industry standard award Peel Group, one of the leading infrastructure, transport and real estate companies in Britain, said Quay West at MediaCityUK recognised by its striking external bronze glazing has won a highly recognised industry standard award for its recent atrium interior planting scheme. The planting design of the atrium was devised by Ambius who then entered it into the annual Efig industry awards. Efig is the body that represents all reputable interior landscapers. For the design category entries are awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze, with the Quay West atrium design picking up the Gold. As well as the planting scheme, the 3 storey atrium has undergone extensive refurbishment and has been transformed in to a contemporary space that encourages greater utilisation by occupiers, whilst providing a welcoming and efficient reception and coffee bar for occupiers and visitors. Externally, landscaping works have created a new attractive tree lined boulevard and improved entrance along the waterfront by the Lowry Bridge. Quay West also secured substantial lettings to WYG and Tuscor Lloyd and the Business Centre has seen an increase in occupation particularly from tenants in the media sector. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
