| Parsons participates in ceremony for Tom Bradley Int'l Terminal Parsons, in conjunction with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), marked the grand opening of the newly renovated Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa hosted the event, and guests included City Councilmembers Bill Rosendahl and Tom LaBonge; Airport Commissioners Alan Rothenberg, Valeria Velasco, Joseph Aredas, Michael Lawson, Fernando Torres-Gil, and Walter Zifkin; as well as Parsons Group Executive Jim Shappell. Parsons served as the construction management consultant on this $737 million TBIT modernization program—the first LAX project to incorporate LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. The Parsons team was led by Parsons Project Director Mark Skjervem.
