| Atkins announces new appointment  Simon Moon, currently Group business improvement director, has been appointed as managing director of the Atkins design and engineering business following the resignation of Paul Dollin.Mr Moon joined Atkins in 1996 and is a chartered engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and holds an MEng in aeronautics and astronautics from Southampton University. In his early career he worked for British Aerospace and upon joining Atkins was instrumental in growing our defence capability ultimately as managing director of our defence systems business.
