| Fugro wins contract in Sierra Leone African Minerals Limited has awarded a contract for a site investigation related to the development of Freetown Port in Sierra Leone to Dutch engineering consultancy Fugro. Work on the project is to start immediately and is due to continue into the third quarter of 2010. The value of the contract amounts approximately € 5.3 million. The project includes nearshore and onshore geophysical surveys and geotechnical laboratory testing. The site investigation forms part of a larger scale project associated with the development of the Tonkolili Iron Ore Deposit approximately 200km east of Freetown.
