| Skanska to construct congress center in Malmö, Sweden Swedish construction giant Skanska will build Malmö's combined congress, concert hall and hotel facility. Skanska will participate both as developer and builder. The construction assignments total SEK 1.4 billion, which will be included order bookings for the second quarter 2010, as well as investments totaling about SEK 900 M. The various sections of the facility comprise a total of 90,000 square meters, which will be constructed on a 35,000-square-meter plot of land at Universitetsholmen, at Västra Hamnen in Malmö. The building rights acquired from the City of Malmö totals about 35,000 square meters and are for office and residential projects. These projects will be developed by Skanska Residential Development Nordic and Skanska Commercial Development Nordic and construction will be executed by Skanska Sweden. The construction assignments are not included in the order bookings for the second quarter.
