TEC-Aecom jv wins environmental studies contract

Aecom Technology Corp announced that TEC-Aecom, a joint venture in which it participates with TEC Inc., has won an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, worth up to US$40 million, from the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic.

Under the contract, the joint venture team will primarily provide environmental planning services under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 12114 "Environmental Effects Abroad of Major Federal Actions" in support of proposed infrastructure projects relating to the homeporting of naval ships. The focus of this contract will be U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps facilities in the United States, the Caribbean, Europe and North Africa.

Task orders will include projects such as homeporting of ships, new construction, renovation, base realignment and closure actions, proposed operational actions and demolitions. The term of the contract has a duration of 60 months, and work is slated for completion during March 2015.
