| Self-regulating heating cable EasyHeat, a business unit of Emerson Industrial Automation, has introduced SR Trace, a self-regulating heating cable that automatically varies its heat output with changes in the surrounding temperature. Because of the self-regulating feature of this cable, it can be safely wrapped over itself if necessary, when installed on pipes, valves or flanges. Simple yet highly effective, EasyHeat SR Trace cables provide maximum freeze protection for plastic or metal pipes and vessels in ambient temperatures down to -40º F. SR Trace cables will also maintain liquids in pipes at a constant temperature to prevent degradation of the liquid, or to preserve required viscosity for flow conditions. Rugged waterproof SR Trace cables feature 18 AWG tinned copper bus wires, a copper ground braid, flame-retardant TPE jacket, and a modified polyolefin over jacket. They are available in power densities of 3, 5, and 8 watts per foot at 50º F, for either 120 VAC or 240 VAC applications. Customers can specify pre-terminated cables cut-to-length or purchase handy 250-foot and 750-foot spools. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
