| Turner wins contracts in New York and Atlanta Turner, a United States builder, has been awarded large new contracts in the US education segment: Together with a partner, the company will provide construction management for New York's new Police Academy for approximately EUR 452 million (USD 656 million). Turner's share in the project is 50 percent (approximately EUR 226 million). In addition, Turner, the US market leader for building educational facilities, will construct a new teaching facility on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. The contract has a volume of approximately EUR 43 million (USD 63 million). The new Police Academy in Queens, New York, will have a capacity to train up to 2,000 recruits of the New York City Police Department (NYPD). The first project phase will be completed by 2013. In Atlanta, Turner will manage construction of the 20,000-square-meter G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons.
