| Bilfinger Berger named preferred bidder for project near Melbourne In the Australian state of Victoria, a project company led by German construction firm Bilfinger Berger has been named preferred bidder for the design, financing and construction of a 25-kilometer long section of the Peninsula Link Highway, creating an improved traffic connection to the Mornington Peninsula south-east of Melbourne. The company will subsequently operate the route for a period of 25 years. The public private partnership project has an investment volume of €550 million. Construction work will be carried out entirely by Bilfinger Berger Australia's subsidiary Abigroup.
