| Tishman-Aecom jv builds DHS headquarters in Washington, D.C. Tishman-Aecom, a joint-venture of Tishman Construction Corporation of D.C., one of the nation's premier construction managers, contractors and owner representatives, and Aecom Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that it has been awarded a $16-million federal contract. The "indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity" contract covers construction-management services for Phase 1 of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) new headquarters at the former St. Elizabeths psychiatric hospital campus, a National Historic Landmark in Washington. The Phase 1 construction program involves multiple, interdependent projects that Tishman-AECOM will manage, beginning with the new U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters building, parking structure, 80+ megawatt co-generation plant, and infrastructure projects. The overall DHS headquarters consolidation is the largest current construction project in the U.S. and the largest federal project since construction of the Pentagon.
