Fulcrum Consulting joins Mott MacDonald

Fulcrum Consulting has joined the Mott MacDonald Group in a move to expand the group's building design offering, especially in the area of sustainability. London-based Fulcrum is recognised at industry and government levels as one of the UK's leading providers of sustainable energy solutions for buildings and the built environment. The company is a founding member of the UK Green Buildings Council and advisor to the UK government's Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Ed Miliband. It also has a number of policy analysts seconded to the government's Zero Carbon Hub and is helping deliver the massive step change required to make zero carbon homes a reality by 2016. Director Andy Ford will be CIBSE President in 2011.

Fulcrum's skills and portfolio ideally complement and reinforce Mott MacDonald's highly successful track record and capabilities in sustainable building design. These range from projects such as the multi-award winning Manchester Civil Justice Centre, widely acclaimed for setting new benchmarks for environmental performance, to development of the construction industry's first comprehensive whole lifecycle cost and carbon tool for assessing the future performance of entire buildings upfront.
