Hill International, the global leader in managing construction risk, announced that it has received a contract from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community to provide program and construction management services during design and construction of a new Major League Baseball spring training facility for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.

The state-of-the-art spring training facility will be located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community adjacent to the city of Scottsdale in Arizona. The facility will include an 11, 000-seat ballpark, 12 replica and practice fields and related buildings that will include Major and Minor League signature clubhouses, training facilities and offices for each team. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is partnering with the Diamondbacks and Rockies to build this facility, which will be the first Major League Baseball spring training facility ever to be built on Indian land. Construction of the facility is expected to commence in January 2010 and be completed by March 2011.
