Danish cement and minerals firm FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately 35m euros (DKK 260m) from Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd. - a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tata Power Company Ltd. - for the supply and construction of a coal handling system for the company's Ultra Mega Power Plant project in the state of Gujarat, India. Tata Power Company Ltd. is India's largest private power utility.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until completion in late 2010.
