| Aqualia to manage water supply in Lepe (Huelva) The city government of Lepe (Huelva, Spain) has awarded a 25-year contract to manage the city's water supply and sewage to FCC subsidiary Aqualia, which is specialised in end-to-end water management. The contract represents a backlog of 119 million euro. The contract also includes managing a number of wastewater and drinking water pumping stations in the city. A number of improvements are envisaged to the water supply and sewer networks during the contract term, such as sectoral segmentation of the network and the installation of a chlorination system. Additionally, a geographical information system (GIS) will be installed along with a telecontrol system for monitoring and controlling the facilities.
