| Arcadis selected for U.S. Air Force program Dutch engineering consultancy Arcadis NV said it has been selected by the U.S. Air Force as one of the prime contractors for the $3 billion Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction 2009 (WERC09) program. Under this program Arcadis is allowed to compete for task orders with a select number of competitors. The program, administered through the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE), is a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract focused on environmental remediation and site cleanup at Department of Defense sites, mostly Air Force bases, around the world. As a WERC09 contractor, Arcadis will perform a range of environmental services, including concept development, remediation plans, site cleanup, repair and construction, with the objective of meeting technical and regulatory requirements. The contract also allows for restoration services in support of the Military Munitions Response Program. Arcadis is one of the premiere remediation specialists selected for the WERC09 full and open contract, from dozens of bidders. The performance period for the remediation projects is five years for basic services ordering, with three additional years to complete performance. Work is scheduled to begin in late 2009. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
