| Acciona to build three hospitals and a clinic in Mexico Spanish construction firm Acciona is building three hospitals and a ten-surgery Family Medicine Unit in Mexico, in a deal worth around 500 Mexican pesos (about 30 million euros). Construction work is under way on the 40-bed Tecate Hospital; two 30-bed Rural Hospitals in Aztalán (Veracruz) and Mamentel (Campeche), and a Family Medicine Unit comprising ten doctor's surgeries in Mexicali (Baja California). All the buildings will apply sustainability principles in their design, construction and maintenance and will take into account factors such as location, materials and processes and optimum energy efficiency. These four centers join the León Bajo Hospital - run by Acciona Servicios Hospitalarios SLB (hospital services) - which last year became the first hospital in Latin America to obtain ISO 9001 certification for its Quality Management System. This certification ensures that organizational operations are carried out correctly and to a high level of excellence, according to international standards and with particular emphasis on customer service. The El Bajío High Speciality Regional Hospital (HRAEB) is located in the city of León (Guanajuato province). write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
