Flatiron secures two highway projects in Northern California

Flatiron, one of the US largest infrastructure contractors, has secured two new highway contracts in Northern California, totaling more than $80 million.

In Oakland, Calif., Flatiron will reconstruct the Interstate 800/High Street interchange. Awarded on August 20 by the California Department of Transportation, the $59 million project comprises reconstructing and widening the Interstate 880 bridge over High Street and demolishing the existing northbound and southbound bridges. The project breaks ground this fall and will last approximately 22 months. This project is Flatiron's fourth along Interstate 880.

In Roseville, Calif., about 15 miles east of Sacramento, Flatiron will construct new dedicated High Occupancy Vehicle lanes along Interstate 80 for the California Department of Transportation's District 3. The $22 million project will begin next month and is slated for completion the following September.
