Hochtief implements airport, railway, power plant and water projects

Germany's Hochtief Construction has been awarded six further infrastructure contracts with a total value of around EUR 137 million. The company is in charge of partnerships on two railway projects for Deutsche Bahn: In Lichtenfels in Bavaria Hochtief Construction is building a six-kilometer railway line with almost three kilometers of tunnel and six bridges and overpasses for EUR 35 million. At Berlin's Ostkreuz station Hochtief will realise four kilometers of train platforms, a tunnel, bridges and tracks worth EUR 27 million by fall 2012.

At Frankfurt Airport, Hochtief Construction will be building the shell for the so-called root at the new gate A Plus. Park positions for seven wide-body aircraft will be created here. The contract has a value of EUR 31 million.

In the Czech Republic the company is expanding the Ledvice fossil fuel power station and building mainly machine rooms for over EUR 24 million. Hochtief is also renovating the water and waste water system for the South Bohemian region of Tábor, a contract worth EUR 11 million.

In addition, Hochtief Construction is expanding and renovating a wastewater treatment plant that services 82,000 people near Bucharest, Romania. This contract has a volume of EUR 9 million.
