Morgan Est wins Welsh Water contract

Morgan Est, one of the UK's leading infrastructure specialists, has won a £21 million contract to build two new Advanced Digestion Plants for Welsh Water. The contract is for all civil engineering aspects associated with the construction of both plants; one to be located at Cardiff Waste Water Treatment Works and the other at Afan Waste Water Treatment Works.

The project will provide Welsh Water with the opportunity of reducing its operating costs and carbon footprint therefore producing a green-energy source through the advanced digestion process. Work is due to be completed ready for the 'power-on' date of 31 March 2011.
