| CertainTeed expands EverNew line with new cellular PVC decking  CertainTeed Corporation expands its popular EverNew line of vinyl decking and railing products with new EverNew LT cellular PVC decking, strengthening the company's position as a one-stop shop for decking and railing products. Consisting of a solid cellular PVC core, EverNew LT cellular PVC decking emulates the look and feel of wood, with all the advantages of a wood alternative. It never needs painting or staining, will not splinter, warp or rot, and is highly resistant to wood-boring insects. Adding to the product's appeal is its patent-pending, fusion-bonded Lumenite surface technology, which creates a shield of protection from mold, stains and the fading of color, ensuring lasting beauty. The Lumenite surface is also solar-reflecting, making it cool to the touch, even on hot days. Offered in four bold, rich colors — Saddle, Sequoia, Dune and Greystone, EverNew LT Decking requires very little maintenance, compared to traditional deck materials, and is easy to clean. The only maintenance involved is occasional washing with a standard garden hose to remove dirt and spills — a much simpler process than the periodic painting or staining required for wood decking. The product also carries a Class 1(A) fire rating, giving it superior fire resistance. "Many people are partial to the classic look of a wood deck, but don't like the maintenance hassles that accompany these decks," Pellock says. "Our new EverNew LT product is ideal for customers who want long-lasting durability and visual appeal from their decks, with minimal maintenance efforts." EverNew LT measures 1 inch x 5-1/2 inches and is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot lengths.
