Aecom wins contract from N.J. Department of Transportation

Aecom Technology Corp, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that it has won a $15-million roadway contract from the N.J. Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

AECOM will provide construction-management and inspection services to complete the second phase of the replacement of causeway bridges and roadway sections of Route 52 in the southern part of the state. The $250-million project will eliminate two drawbridges at the Ocean City and Somers Point limits and eliminate Somers Point Circle, with improvements to MacArthur Boulevard.

The state will use approximately $70 million of federal stimulus money on the project. The project is slated for completion during 2012.
