| Pöyry to extend metro in Sao Paulo, Brazil Finnish consulting and engineering firm Pöyry has been awarded a lender's engineer contract by the Metro Company of Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the extension of the metro in the city of Sao Paolo with a new Line 4. The scope of services includes project management, technical and financial assistance, providing tools for cost and quality control as well as for scheduling. The value of Pöyry's services amounts to EUR 3 million. By far the busiest metro in South America, Sao Paulo metro serves more than three million passengers a day. The new Line 4 will be an important addition to the city's metro network. Running fully underground, this 12.8 km-long section will comprise ten stations which will be executed in two implementation stages.
