| Wolseley makes new appointments British building supplies company Wolseley plc announced that Chip Hornsby has stepped down as Group Chief Executive with immediate effect. Ian Meakins will succeed Chip as Group Chief Executive with effect from 13 July 2009. Chip has spent over 31 years in the construction materials distribution industry, joining the Wolseley Group through its acquisition of Ferguson in 1983.
