| Mini light clips on wrenches A new mini flashlight that clips to the handle of several Lowell Corporation ratchet wrenches can help utility and construction workers find and adjust nuts in dark areas. In addition to making it easier to locate a nut, the Hi-Vis Hi-Lite directs light right to the wrench head and work area and frees up both of a worker's hands for working. Even under normal lighting conditions, the light is useful because it illuminates areas that might otherwise be shadowed by the worker and his wrench. The light is 3-5/8" long, ¾" in diameter, and, with its detachable clip, weighs 1.9 oz. Although it's physically small, the light and clip are designed for rugged duty. The light's aluminum housing has an anodized protective finish and is water-resistant. The clip is spring steel. Brightness is 20 lumen, provided by a replaceable standard AA battery. Battery life is approximately 6 hours of continuous use and up to 100 hours of intermittent use. The light and clip are an option on new Lowell Triple Square and Double Shot wrenches and can be retrofit to older models. These wrenches are designed for use by construction workers and those in the water, sewer, pipeline, and electrical utilities. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
