| Cegelec provides security systems for gas pipeline in Algeria French electrical engineering company Cegelec has been awarded an additional contract to build security systems for the two Pedro Duran Farell pipeline (GPDF) sites in Algeria, south of Tlemcen, near the border with Morocco. The sites are operated by Sonatrach. This latest €18 million contract win means that in the past two years Cegelec has been commissioned to provide intruder alert, video surveillance and access control systems solutions for nearly 30 Sonatrach sites. To secure the transcontinental pipeline's main site and its compressor station, a pipeline carrying natural gas to Spain via Morocco, the Group will leverage the competencies of its Cegelec Secure centre and deploy its integrated Evolynx system, dedicated to high-security applications. It will receive front-line support from its Algerian subsidiary, which is expected to double its headcount to more than 200 employees by end-2009. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
