Iberdrola Ingeniería to build the largest wind farm in Poland

Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción has been awarded a € 14.6 million project to build the second phase of the largest wind farm in Poland, boasting 100 megawatts (MW). Last years it was awarded the first phase of the project, involving for 20 MW and € 5 million. Overall, the wind farm, which will be located in Margonin, 60 kilometres north of Poznan, will have a power output of 120 MW. The project was awarded to the Spanish company by Neolica Polska, subsidiary of EDP Renováveis, and is due for commissioning in the first quarter of 2010. With this project, Iberdrola Ingeniería will have carried out the construction of wind parks in Poland with an overall power output of 280.5 MW.
