| Construmat will again be the reference point for sector  The International Construction Show, Construmat will again become a major showcase for the construction sector, despite the economic crisis, which affects this sector especially. Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via exhibition centre will house all the exhibits of this 30 year-old show which has become the number one show of its kind in Spain and one of the three most important in Europe. One of the main new features of Construmat 2009, which will be held from the 20th to the 25th of April, is that both exhibits and the side events will be concentrated in the same venue. The creation of two new independent shows -Instalmat in 2008 and Baño (Bathroom), in 2010-, the proposals of which were integrated in Construmat, provides considerable floor space in the Gran Via exhibition centre.In addition to showcasing thousands of construction-related products and services, Construmat will again become the leading centre for the presentation and debate of new initiatives, such as the fifth edition of the Casa Barcelona project, in which four internationally prestigious architects will show their proposals for innovative, social and sustainable housing.
