| Cegelec delivers two large windfarms in France, French electrical engineering firm Cegelec has completed two large projects in the Vendée and Aube regions of France, representing a total of 35 wind turbines and €26 million in orders. In France so far, Cegelec has installed 400 wind turbines delivering total power of 650 MW, representing approximately a 20% share of the market. In other countries, the Group has installed 208 turbines, including 35 recently built on the Kaliakra windfarm in Bulgaria. In the Vendée region, Cegelec supported power utility Régie d'Electricité de Vendée (REVe) with end-to-end expertise by developing a fully-featured turnkey solution, including engineering studies and the fulfilment of administrative formalities, the purchase of 17 800-kW turbines, the installation of all the necessary infrastructure and erection of the wind turbines on two windfarms near Mouzeuil Saint-Martin and Le Langon. For Eolfi in the Aube, Cegelec delivered the infrastructure for three windfarms comprising six 2.3 MW turbines on the Plaine Auboise site. It carried out upstream engineering studies and built the access road, civil and electrical engineering systems and networks, while serving as prime contractor for the entire project in compliance with Cegelec's "Green Project" standards. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
