| Amec to acquire Canadian engineering consultancy British engineer and project manager Amec announces that it has signed a legally binding agreement to purchase the assets and ongoing operations of Philips Engineering Ltd. (Philips). Philips is a 70-person Canadian engineering firm located near Toronto, in Burlington, Ontario. Founded in 1946, the company specializes in engineering services relating to highway and municipal engineering, water resources, structural (buildings and bridges) and land development.
