| BAM wins contract for fishery harbour in Sri Lanka BAM International bv (the operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, active outside Europe) has been awarded a contract for the design and construction of the fishery harbour in Dikkowita, Sri Lanka, some ten kilometres north of Colombo. Client is the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Sri Lanka. Royal Haskoning is the Client's Engineer. The contract value is approximately EUR 44 million. BAM International will start on site this month and completion is to be expected in two years. The harbour will provide direct access to the sea for the local fishermen who now have to use the Hamilton canal and Negombo lagoon.
