| "Real Estate Oscar" for the Kranhaus The Kranhaus (crane house) in Cologne's Rheinau harbor has been awarded the title of Office Building of the Year 2009 at the Mipim international real estate trade show in Cannes. In the Business Centre category it managed to beat the World Finance Center in Shanghai and the Angerhof in Munich into second and third place. As the general contractor, Hochtief Construction was responsible for the characteristic construction of the central Kranhaus which stands in a premium position in the harbor. The project took two years to finish and was completed during the fourth quarter of 2008.
