| Amec awarded contract by BP Exploration British engineer Amec has announced the award of a four-year contract for operations and maintenance support services for BP's Unity platform in the Forties field in the North Sea. Work on this multi-million pound contract will begin immediately. The Unity platform forms part of the Forties pipeline system and is located in the Forties field, approximately five kilometres from the Apache-operated Forties Charlie platform, which is situated 170 kilometres east of Aberdeen.
