Fluor JV wins Denali project for the State of Alaska

Fluor Corp announced that its joint venture, Fluor WorleyParsons Arctic Solutions, has been awarded an engineering contract by Denali—The Alaska Gas Pipeline LLC, for its Gas Treatment Plant (GTP). The engineering contract is a preliminary front-end engineering and design effort (pre-FEED) that will be led from the firm's Alaska operations center and will maximize Alaska-based engineering and technical resources.

The contract covers the services required during the initial design phase of the project for the GTP. Major contract elements include a series of technical studies, development of the project design basis, project execution planning, cost estimating, schedule development and other services.

Denali—The Alaska Gas Pipeline LLC is planning for the construction of a pipeline to deliver 4 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day from the North Slope of Alaska to markets in the Lower 48, Alaska and Canada.

The joint venture team has engaged CH2M Hill as its exclusive Alaska subcontractor to provide support services during this initial design phase.
