| Parsons wins contract for expansion phase of NEF Parsons has been awarded a two-year contract by Louisiana Energy Services (LES) to provide engineering, construction management, and construction services for the expansion phase of the National Enrichment Facility (NEF) in Eunice, New Mexico. The $3 billion facility is the first plant of its kind, using centrifuge technology to enrich uranium for fuel rods for power plants in the United States. When fully operational, the National Enrichment Facility will be able to provide 50% of all the enriched fuel for the civilian nuclear power plants in the United States, creating even greater energy independence. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
