| Manitowoc to exhibit Potain Igo 30 ![]() The Igo 30 has a total weight of less than 26 t, meaning it can travel with just one truck in most of its markets, lowering transportation costs. The crane is a new model with the first deliveries going to customers in April 2009. It is easy to erect and move and has flexible working configurations, which make it a great fit for a variety of jobs. The crane also features the SmartCom system that incorporates special sensors and an onboard computer to improve efficiency and bring additional safety to folding and unfolding operations. For ease of set-up, the crane has side ballast, which means the counterweight does not need to be moved for folding and unfolding. This is especially useful on jobsites where 'free slew' is not possible or where there are strict rules regarding the position of the jib during out-of-service operation. All of the mechanisms are frequency controlled for optimum performance and productivity. Another benefit is the radio remote control, which increases driver comfort and aids productivity. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Construction News :: home page |
