| Acciona builds cargo terminal at Puerto Bahía (Spain) Spain's Acciona Infrastructures has been chosen by Total Terminal International Algeciras (TTIA) – a company set up by South Korean shipping group Hanjin Shipping – to build the first stage of the Isla Verde Exterior cargo terminal at Puerto Bahía (Algeciras, Spain). The 34.8 million-euro contract will be executed over 11 months. Work at the site earmarked for TTIA's terminal at Isla Verde Exterior will include, mainly, the terminal floor as well as the construction of its office building and repairs workshop. The terminal covers an area of 292,910 square metres, with a manoeuvring zone of 57,990 square metres; and two rows of docks - the East dock is 650 metres long and the North dock 550 metres. TTIA plans to have the terminal up-and-running in 2010. This will be the first semi-automatic terminal in the Mediterranean area. South Korea-based Hanjin Shipping Co is part of one of the world's largest global transport and logistics conglomerates, which also includes Korean Air and Korea Airport Services, JungSeok Enterprise Co. and Systems & Telecommunications.
