The IBS – International Building Skin-tech Award presented for the first time by fensterbau/frontale, Nürnberg, in cooperation with the magazine xia intelligente architektur / xia international pays tribute to pioneering facade solutions of a high design standard that have been planned and/or implemented using innovative technologies. The prize money of 10, 000 euros is divided between the winners as follows: the 1st prize receives 7,000 euros and the "Special Recognitions" 1,000 euros each. The competition covered the following regions: European countries (except Germany), Eastern Europe/Russia, China, USA and Middle East. The determining factor was the location of the building projects, not where the architects come from. Entries were possible in two categories: Category 1 for implemented projects and Category 2 for planned projects. 19 offices from Europe, Asia and the USA submitted altogether 25 projects for judging. The IBS Award serves as preparation for the IBS Congress, the international congress on facades planned as part of fensterbau/frontale 2010 in Nuremberg. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
