| Clean, heat-resistant product for synthetic fields Today's highly sophisticated artificial/synthetic turf buyers are looking for choices in their infill materials – and Target Technologies (TTII) aims to please. Introducing TTII's new EPDM infill granules - clean, durable and non-toxic under a variety of atmospheric and environmental conditions & providing top-notch G-max performance on synthetic turf. Offered in partnership with the Recycor Company, located in suburban Montreal Quebec, EPDM is a leachate-free, premium infill product. Currently, EPDM materials are used in a wide variety of applications – such as vehicle weather seals, garden hoses, roof membranes and tubing. EPDM granules offer high heat, fire & ozone resistance. By reducing on-field temperatures EPDM is an ideal infill material for both indoor and outdoor synthetic turf fields and running tracks. Commenting recently on artificial turf infill products in general, TTII's Managing Director – John B. Giraud, stated: "We have been constantly reviewing the merits of the various infill alternatives in the marketplace. Our clients have been demanding more environmental choices in the products they use in constructing their fields and tracks. TTII's recent introduction of color-coated sand (PermaCoat-Poly) has been well received, and it encouraged us to offer a durable and non-leaching alternative rubber as well. EPDM granules fulfill this need." TTII's EPDM artificial turf infill granules are made from contaminant-free recycled (regrind) materials – that is essentially off-cuts from various production line facilities. There is no blending with SBR or other rubbers. After processing, TTII's granules are fiber and steel free – and rigid quality assurance standards ensure total adherence to client specifications. The product is currently available in black, and soon will be offered in a variety of companion colors. Through its Logistics Division Target Technologies can manage shipping of truck-load quantities of EPDM granules direct to project sites – in North America & world wide. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
