| Emcor to install mechanical systems at Harvard University Emcor Group, Inc. announced that its Emcor Services Northeast subsidiary has received a contract to install mechanical systems at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Emcor Services Northeast will be responsible for the replacement of two indoor main air handler units in Robinson Hall, built in 1900 and one of the central buildings at Harvard University. Located within the basement mechanical area of Robinson Hall, the air handler units provide heat and air conditioning from the University's power plant steam and chilled water systems, along with fresh air for ventilation. The replacement of the units will occur in two phases, which will allow the Robinson Hall--that houses both the History Department and classrooms--to remain open with at least 50 percent cooling or heating and ventilation during the entire project. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
