| New aluminum picket railing system from Hollaender Hollaender Manufacturing has introduced a new aluminum, component based picket railing system that requires absolutely no welding, yet retains strength and rigidity. The system is made possible by Hollaender's new Speed-Rail fitting #156-85, a friction-fit picket tee that firmly attaches the pickets to the top and bottom horizontal rails. The picket tee is part of Hollaender's Speed-Rail line of fittings and is machined from 6063 - T6 aluminum alloy. It is designed to attach ¾ inch IPS pickets to 1½ inch IPS aluminum pipe, and is suitable for any indoor or outdoor project. Hollaender offers a variety of infill panels including picket, perforated and wire mesh, all compatible with the system. The finishes on the picket tee, and infill panel can be mixed and matched to meet many style, design and configuration requirements. The system installs quickly, securely and cost effectively, especially when compared to welded and other more complex systems. Picket panels are used in conjunction with Hollaender's two proprietary railing systems - Speed-Rail and Interna-Rail - to assemble a handrail that meets IBC and other codes in an aesthetically pleasing yet cost effective manner. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
