Central suction and filter unit for room exhausting

Clean air at working places is of great importance, especially as far as the metal working industry is concerned. Also for companies of the medicine and dental technology or the electronic engineering a clean air climate is very important for smooth production processes and, last but not least for the physical health of the staff. Clean and human working places increase the working satisfaction and contribute essentially to the productivity. This is especially relevant for the welding engineering with its multitude of contaminations for the people working on this sector.

The governmental frame regulation for hazardous substances (GefStoffV) that came into effect in 2005 re-regulates the occupational health and safety regarding job activities with such substances. Since welding smoke is classified as a hazardous substance, the regulation demands the following in attachment III No. 2 under 2.3, clause 5: "Dust has to be captured entirely and directly at the point of exit or origin and it has to be disposed safely.....".

TEKA offers a wide range of standard suction and filtering units for the selective capture of the hazardous substances. Many of these systems are verified by BGIA and correspond to the requirements of the welding smoke classification W3, i.e. they are suitable for the suction of carbon steel, precious metal, galvanized material and aluminium.

However, a spot suction often is not sufficiant in order to go below the stipulated limit values for working places and thus to eliminate a danger for the staff. Then it becomes necessary to additionally aerate the room. For such cases TEKA has developped a special system that cleans the hall air containing hazardous substances besides the spot suctions. The AIRTECH-Room Extraction sucks and filters the hazardous substances at a height of approx. 2 m via a grid. The cleaned air is being re-circulated into the room at ceiling height via nozzles. This helps to reduce essentially the energy costs during the heating period. Since no pipe is necessary, the position of the unit is flexible.

The AIRTECH-Room Extraction is equipped with extensive filter cartridges of the category BGIA M (separating efficiency ≥ 99 %) and has an especially developped cleaning system which is connected to the microprocessor controlled TEKA filter control. This combination meets the highest technical requirements. The Power-Spray-System enables an accurate cleaning of the filter cartridges so that an optimum suction capacity is being guaranteed during the whole process of operation. The filter cartridges are being cleaned by compressed air (the reservoir for compressed air is integrated in the plant). The separated dust is being collected in a dust container and can be disposed safely via an integrated PE-bag.

As standard equipment, the ventilator is integrated in the sound absorber, so that during operation no noise annoyance occurs.

One of the main advantages of the AIRTECH-Room Extraction is the flexibility. Since the system consists of several pre-fabricated modules and thus no additional pipe has to be mounted, the time needed for installation as well as the required space for the plant is reduced at a minimum. As standard, the system is available in three different versions. Special designs adapted to the client's requirements can be offered at any time by our skilled technicians.
