| Affordable renewable energy systems for homeowners in U.S.  A part of the bailout package recently passed by the U.S. government included a generous solar energy tax credit bill which will dramatically reduce the cost and hasten the payback to homeowners for installing residential solar energy systems. A full 30% federal tax credit is now available for solar PV and thermal installations starting January 1, 2009. The Renewable Energy Division of S+H Construction, Inc. of Cambridge, Massachusetts, residential renovation and custom home building company, designs, integrates and installs solar electric power (PV), solar thermal hot water, and geothermal heating and cooling systems.Their services include everything from system design and installation through maintenance of residential equipment as well as energy conservation consultations. S+H is a fully certified turnkey installer and performs all of the paperwork necessary for homeowners to qualify for and obtain the significant rebates offered in Massachusetts to those who install PV. "With the new expanded tax credit passed by Congress coupled with the savings from Commonwealth Solar, the existing tax rebate program from the State of Massachusetts, consumers will now be able to save 50% off their renewable energy projects," notes Doug Hanna, co-president of S+H Construction.
