Parsons selected for Idaho's main route

Parsons has been awarded a $98 million construction contract from the Idaho Transportation Department for the U.S. 95 Sandpoint Byway. U.S. 95 is Idaho's main north-south route, and the new byway will divert through-traffic around Sandpoint.

Parsons will construct 2.1 miles of new two-lane and three-lane highway along the east side of Sand Creek, including a full interchange, a 3/4 interchange, three steel girder bridges, a steel arch girder bridge, 17 mechanically stabilized earth walls, and a pedestrian walkway and bike path. Parsons will also perform associated shoreline reconditioning and dredging. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2012.
